On December 1 the Seymour boys basketball team took on their rivals Brownstown Central at home. The game started at 7:30 and ended with a victory for BCHS.

The Seymour vs Brownstown game is not only the biggest game of the year in football, but also in basketball. The BCHS game never fails to result in a packed house, and high tensions. Making for a great time.

This past game however, tensions were through the roof. Not only because it was a home game but also because of the way the game was being played.

The first basket was a field goal made by BCHS which was quickly followed by a basket made by SHS. The scoring went like this through most of the game, and once halftime hit SHS was in the lead by two points.

However, after halftime BCHS amped up, they were looking for a win. The back and forth continued throughout most of the third and fourth quarter, but in the last few minutes of the fourth quarter BCHS scored two baskets back to back. A three-pointer and a field goal. The crowd roared. A timeout was called for SHS and they tried to regain their composure.

It was too late though as BCHS had found their groove and they were sticking to it. Whenever Seymour scored Brownstown was right there to take the ball and run it right to their basket.

Brownstown kept their five point lead and the 2017 boys Seymour vs Brownstown game ended with a 42-47 victory forĀ  Brownstown.
