Alfredo+Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 1 Box of fettuccine, linguine, or penne pasta noodles.
  • Salt
  • 1 Package of grated Parmesan cheese. (1 to 1 1/12 Cups)
  • 1 Stick Butter (1/2 Cup)
  • Heavy Cream (2 Cups)
  • Seasonings (Salt and Pepper. *finely chopped clove of garlic, pinch of hot pepper flakes, a dash of Italian seasoning or basil.)
  • Protein of choice. (Roasted chicken breast or shrimp seared in a pan or grilled.)

Instructions:

1.) Cook pasta noodles according to the package directions in well salted water. Save 1/2 Cup of the pasta water.

2.) While the pasta cooks, melt a stick of butter in a skillet. Once melted, add the seasonings, heavy cream, and cheese. Keep the heat low. Do not boil, simply melt.

3.) When the pasta is cooked and drained, add to the sauce. Keep stirring with tongs and add some of the saved salted pasta water as you stir.

4.) Add your chicken, shrimp, or preferred protein/vegetables. Sprinkle more cheese on top.
