We are now less than a week away from the NFL season, and we are getting ready for a great season. With everything I saw last year and this off-season, it’s time to make my predictions.
Most Valuable Player: Josh Allen
Josh Allen had a solid 2022-23 season where he tied all of his all-time bests, and with a new TE and a very solid WR core, he could easily just go crazy this season. He’s in the prime of his career, and this year has to be the one for the Bills and Josh. He threw for 4,283 yards last season with 35 touchdowns and 762 rushing yards with 7 rushing touchdowns. With his powerful arm and great rushing ability, this could be his year.
Offensive Player of the Year: Tyreek Hill
Tyreek Hill is the most explosive player in the NFL, and after coming off a year with his most receptions and most yards, he’s looking like he could have another breakout season. In 2022-23 he had 1,710 Yards, 119 receptions, and 7 touchdowns. He only has a few more prime seasons left, so he could win his first Offensive Player of the Year.
Defensive Player of the Year: Micah Parsons
Micah Parsons is going into his third season in the league, and with how his first two seasons have gone, he’s a major competitor for the award. In his rookie season, he had 13 sacks and 84 tackles, and in his 2nd year, he had 13.5 sacks and 65 tackles. With those stats in only his first two years in the league, he’s bound to win the award sometime. And now that he knows the league better, he could have around 17 sacks and 60 tackles. Micah Parsons will win the Defensive Player of the Year.
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Bijan Robinson
The exciting RB from Texas is already the favorite for the award, he can run the ball well and catch the ball. He is being compared to Christian McCaffrey, which is very impressive as a rookie. It’s hard to ignore what he did in college, in his final season he played 12 games with 1580 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. And with 19 receptions and 314 receiving yards. He’s a dual threat and could easily win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Will Anderson, Jr
Probably one of the better rookies the NFL has seen in a while, and he already looks like a 10-year vet. Playing at Alabama is already an advantage for players, you get really good training and progress very fast. He was the first non-QB taken in the 2023 NFL draft and is one of the most talented draftees we’ve ever seen. Don’t be surprised if he breaks many records as a rookie.
Comeback Player of the Year: Damar Hamlin
After a near-death experience from suffering a cardiac arrest during a game, to almost being completely healthy in less than 6 months. He was brought back to life by the Bengals medical staff, and the fact that something like that can happen to athletes on the field is insane to think about. I think that if Damar Hamlin even steps on the field he’s going to win the award. He is the favorite to win the award, and it would be very impressive to see him back on the field after his life-threatening injury.
Coach of the Year: Kevin Stefanski (Browns)
The Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has already won the Coach of the Year award in 2020, and I think he will win it again. In the last 2 seasons, they have gone 8-9 (2021) and 7-10 (2022). This season I think they will go 10-7 and be one of the most improved teams in the league. The Browns are looking solid this season, and with the help of Stefanski, I think the Browns can be real contenders this season.
Super Bowl Matchup- Bills vs. 49ers (Bills W 38-29)
The Bills have been right on the crisp of making the Super Bowl, and I think they can finally win it all this year. The 49ers already made it to the Super Bowl in 2020, and with the stacked offense they have this season, I think they can easily make it to the Super Bowl. And the Bills and the 49ers are both very solid teams who will make a great Super Bowl game.
