The seniors honored on Tuesday include Ashlyn Henderson, Rachel Lenart, Avery Musgrave, Elise Hartung, Sam Cardenas, Claire Marshall, Elizabeth Trueblood, and Cheyanne Givens. Seymour honored them for their sacrifice and dedication to the team.
Now, let’s get to the game. The Owls controlled the ball for much of the first half, and in the 10th minute Jennings had a costly penalty, and sophomore Katy Roark stepped in the box for a penalty kick. After a mistake by the goalie, Roark knocked it right into the goal. The crowd went wild!
After controlling the ball for almost the entire 2nd half, the Lady Owls were back in scoring range. After a throw-in from senior Ashlyn Henderson, senior Rachael Lenart dribbled past three defenders and shot a laser from outside of the box, and it went in! The crowd erupted. They took the lead 2-0 and held on to it.
The Seymour Lady Owls moved to 4-9-1 after a great win. Thanks to the fans for showing out, and the student section for showing up for their Lady Owls.
