With the presidential election quickly approaching, the people need to learn about the new candidates. Whether you’re going to vote Republican or Democrat it is important to know the beliefs behind the name on your ballot. One of these newcomers for the Democrat party is Robert F Kennedy Jr. (RFK).

RFK comes from the prolific Kennedy family that includes many influential members like John F. Kennedy (The 35th U.S. President) his uncle, and Robert F. Kennedy senior (Former U.S. Attorney General) his father. Almost every Kennedy has begun a life in politics at a young age and that doesn’t exclude RFK. From a young age he was an environmentalist and shared civil rights beliefs with his father who believed that voting was key to racial justice. He also believes in the conspiracies against his family due to his uncle and father being assassinated for their political beliefs.

RFK’s values involve cost of living, environmental issues, governmental issues, reconciling the nation, anti-vax movement, and civil liberties. RFK believes that people who work hard in their everyday life deserve to make enough to afford a decent living and not have to suffer high mortgage rates on their homes. He believes in environmental safety and keeping our food and water sources clean for a healthier and better America. RFK wants a better and more honest Government and says he will remake public institutions, roll back secrecy, end surveillance and censorship, and make the government transparent. RFK also supports and has his own anti-vaccine advocacy group: Children’s Health Defense.  He wants to heal the nation from being divided over the past decade, and wants to stop foreign wars, while revitalizing America’s resources.

RFK is a man of many beliefs ranging from environmental safety to civil rights, and, though he is surrounded by controversies, he stands by his beliefs and has one goal in his mind: to reclaim democracy for the people.
