Jaylan Johnson and Kyle Hileman were both selected as finalists for the Indy Star Player of The Week. Hileman, a senior receiver had six catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns in a 53-14 win over New Albany. In addition, junior receiver Jaylan Johnson had five catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns. This nomination isn’t a surprise if you look at the offense. Quarterback Bret Perry, new school-record holder for Most Passing Yards and Most Passing Touchdowns, has been slinging the ball all season, along with another senior wide receiver, Jack Pennington, who has the most total touchdowns. Seymour’s offense is really special this season. We’ve not seen an offense like it for a long time.
