Baseball season is almost upon us, and the Seymour Owls have revealed their schedule for the 2024 season. The Owls are coming off a very successful year where they had a record of 23-5 and lost in the sectionals to Jeffersonville. Seymour was solid in conference play last season, going 7-3.

Seymour will be looking for another great year and hopefully some postseason wins. This team has a lot of talent including senior Bret Perry who is signed to play at the University of Indianapolis, senior Gavin Leavy who is signed to play at Franklin University, and many more talented players who will make this team great. The Owls also have juniors Braden Richey, Mike Wright, Brady Harpe, and Parker Thompson who have been displaying their talent at camps this off-season.
Preseason Record Prediction: 23-4
This team has a lot of talent, but they have to play teams like Floyd Central and other HHC conference opponents. I think this team can, at best, go 25-2, but it might take a little adjusting period. The Owls ended last season 23-4, but if they can beat Floyd Central, then the Conference is theirs to win.
Seymour’s first home game is on 3/26 vs Silver Creek, so let’s show up and support our Owls for another great season. Owls Will.
