With the Seymour High School Football regular season coming to a close let’s take a look back at the season and then look forward to the future to come.
Seymour High-school’s Football team ended the regular season with a 4-5 just below the threshold of .500. This is lower than what was projected for the season but again not bad. The team was 3-3 for the conference so that is an extremely good takeaway beating teams such as New Albany on the road.
When we think of what we could’ve done better as a team was mainly our offensive possessions. Most of the games The Seymour defense was able to secure huge 4th down stops to secure the ball back for the offense but the team couldn’t capitalize on the opportunities. What Seymour’s head Coach Tyson Moore can do is go back and see what went right and what went wrong throughout the regular season and try to adapt in sectionals.
Me personally I believe that the team has great chemistry and a bond that not many teams have. Seymour is a small town and this town has always been about being there and together for each other. I believe that if the Owls are all on one page with each other defense and offense. We have shown talent that is able to overcome many opponents so victory is absolutely possible.
With Sectionals on Friday November 1st against Columbus east central which has gone 6-3 in the regular season while being ranked 34th in Indiana. The Owls have a tough match-up on their hands but with sectionals being at home we need every single fan to show up and show out with their owl pride.
