Rory Mcilroy has been an Icon on the PGA Tour for all of his 17 years playing pro. Throughout his time on Tour he has accumulated 41 professional wins and 4 Major wins. He has been a top 10 player for most of his career and has shown no signs to slow down.

It has been 10 years since Rory won his last Major in 2014 and is urged to get another. He has been known to have the top driving speeds and distances for his size. Rory is not a tall player so being able to carry the golf ball 330 yards shows his power. He is absolutely able to get another Major with his power and has shown he can preform at the highest level.

Rory had his shot at the 2024 US open at Pinehurst NO.2 in Pinehurst North Carolina. He had the Lead going into the 15th hole with Bryson DeChambeau 1 stroke behind. Rory had a putt for par and he missed the 5 foot putt. He and Bryson were tied going into the 17th hole and Rory had another great opportunity. 5 foot putt to save the lead and he missed it again. Two straight putts to save the lead and a sold opportunity. Bryson came down on the 18th and hit an icon bunker shot and sealed the match after he nailed the putt from 8 feet away. Rory was interviewed after the match which would’ve been his first major win in 10 years and he said “I would go through 100 Sundays like this to get my hands on another major championship”.

Rory has another year with 4 majors to win and I believe he wants to win the masters because he has never won that before. To win all 4 majors is special in a golfers career and he wants it more than ever.
