On Thursday, February 6th, the Seymour Owls defeated the Madison Cubs by a final score of 56-21. This win was particularly special as it marked Coach Manns’ 200th career win.
Kirk Manns started his coaching career at Fredericktown High School in Ohio. Manns coached for 10 years at Fredericktown, and he had a 128-88 record.
Manns was hired as Seymour’s Athletic Director three years before being named the head coach. In the 2019-2020 season, he was named the head coach. In his six years at Seymour, he has a record of 73-57 (56.15%).
Seymour had not had a winning season in 15 years before the 2021-2022 season where Manns led the Owls to a 15-7 record. Manns has changed the outlook on Seymour basketball, and his work should not go unappreciated. Congratulations, Coach Manns and Owls’ Basketball.
Owls Will.
