This past weekend, SHS rolled out the red carpet for Golden Hollywood-themed prom night. Held at The Copper Top, the venue was decorated with gold accents, sparkling lights, and Hollywood glamour that brought the theme to life.
Students arrived with shimmer dresses and sharp suits, filling the dance floor with excitement. The DJ did an excellent job catering to everyone’s taste, mixing throwback favorites with the latest hits to keep the energy high all night long. Whether it was a slow dance or high-energy group favorites that everyone could sing along with, that music brought the crowd together.
A variety of treats were offered throughout the night, with the highlight being the ice cream station catered by Koveners Korner. Students also enjoyed various finger foods and cold water to cool off between songs. A special thank-you goes out to the sophomore servers who helped the event run smoothly.
Another exciting highlight was the announcement of Prom King and Queen. This year’s court included Nate Fritsch, Abram Goldsberry, Lincoln Morford, Otavio Sea, and Bryan Carreto for King, and Emmy Munson, Lauren Dowell, Claire Skaggs, Blythe Brummett, and McKenzie Davis for Queen. After a suspenseful drumroll, the crowns went to Lauren Dowell and Abram Goldsberry! In addition to the Prom King and Queen announcement, the evening also featured a drawing for a new MacBook Pro, which was awarded to Kayden Cox.
Prom night was filled with laughter, dancing, and memories that will be remembered for years to come. A huge thank-you to Mrs. Peters, Mrs. Sovern, the prom committee students, The Copper Top owners, sophomore servers, and everyone else who made the night unforgettable.
