Barnes & Noble has announced plans to open over 60 new locations across the United States in 2025. This news follows the company’s successful opening of 57 stores in 2024, which was the company’s most significant growth since 2009.
After the pandemic, there has been a tremendous increase in avid readers. The popularity can be attributed to “BookTok” and “Booktube” influencers community. The online trend is creating a new passion for young readers, boosting the bookstore with the rise in sales.
The bookstores have not released a set list of the new locations. However, the company plans to open stores in new and old locations. For example, Barnes & Noble has returned to previous locations in the Washington D.C. Georgetown neighborhood and Naperville, Illinois.
