The Seymour Owls face off against the Brownstown Braves on Friday, September 26th at Seymour High School (Bulleit Stadium). The Owls are 0-5 on the season, while the Braves are 5-0. Let’s take a look at both of their seasons so far.
Seymour Owls: 0-5

9/12 vs Salem- 63-7 (W)
9/19 vs North Harrison- 56-14 (W)
The Owls have struggled to find their groove so far this season. A mix of seniors leaving, inexperienced players, and a somewhat tough schedule has left the Owls sitting with a 0-5 record after five games. The Owls are losing by an average of 21.6 points per game. The Braves, on the other hand, have been dominant this season, winning their games by an average of 52.4 points per game. That is insane. While there is lower competition, the pure dominance that we are seeing from Brownstown is almost unheard of.
While I am a little biased towards Seymour, I don’t think this game will be particular competitive. But I can always be wrong. Here’s my honest score prediction for Friday night.
Score Prediction: 20-49 (Brownstown Wins)
It hurts me to say that Brownstown will beat us, but I would rather know ball than be biased. I keep asking myself if I think Seymour has a chance to win, but if I’m being honest, the only way Seymour can win this game is if their rush defense is on point. The Braves’ run offense is one of the best in the state, and Seymour will have a very tough time stopping it. The only thing we fans can do to help the Owls is to show up and be loud. Show up for the Owls. Anything can happen.
Owls Will.
