In recent years, young people in Nepal, mostly from Generation Z, have started a powerful movement for change. Gen Z, which includes people born from the late 1990s to the early 2010s, is using social media and technology to speak out about important issues like education, jobs, climate change, and equality.
Many of these students and young adults are tired of slow progression in the nation and want a stronger voice in how their country is run. They share ideas online, organize peaceful protests, and speak out against corruption. However, according to BBC News, some protests have turned violent, with government buildings being burned after the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned during the anti-corruption protest.
This Gen Z Revolution shows how young people can make a big difference when they work together. Their energy and courage are inspiring older generations and give hope for a brighter future in Nepal and its people.
