It’s sad to be a senior in 2020. The thought of not being able to walk on stage to receive your diploma is unreal. We waited 12 years to receive a diploma and now a generation of graduates won’t be able to experience that moment. To receive one of the biggest awards in your life, in a respected way, now will be passed to you from your mailbox. As one senior said, “walking the halls, lunches with teachers, school dances, high school experiences, to be ended early and now realizing my last day was a month ago.” The present may not be all we had planned, but we can guarantee that the future will bring new opportunities to us as we enter a new stage of our life.
