Dear SHS,

My senior year, the year that I worked hard for, the year that I didn’t think would ever come, the year that marks the completion of one part of my life and the beginning of the next. It was a year full of celebrating my accomplishments. So as I look back over my senior year, I believe it was everything I hoped for. Everybody thought it was a risky move switching schools my senior year, but I just went for it. I’m so glad I did. I learned a lot of new things, and I met a lot of cool people.

I have no idea why I chose to try out for the wrestling team, but I made it! I didn’t really know what I was walking into, and I learned it’s definitely a sport you don’t try your senior year. It was really hard work. I learned so much about myself and the sport! I’m gonna miss school in general and all my friends. I appreciate the kind people that helped me out the first couple weeks at the beginning. I have no regrets moving to this school my senior year. It was a cool experience overall. Not being able to finish out my year inside our school has been disappointing, but I’m thankful for the time I did have to walk those halls so many have walked before… and now I am one of those.
