After the Boy’s soccer season was over, no person had a clue that Seymour’s own Casey Regruth would be nominated for many different awards. I had the honor of speaking and interviewing him about his experience.

D: When did you get nominated for First Team All District

C: Coach Dennis nominated me at the District Four coaches meeting after the season was over and the Coaches voted me into the team.

D: When was the All District game?

C: The game was the first weekend of November.

D: How did you do? Did you have any goals?

C: I did not score, and the game was really fun.

D: What was the Boys team’s record at the end of the season?

C: The soccer team ended at 9-5-2.

Casey also added that “Our district was the best out there” showing that he has the skill and has what it takes to be nominated. He was also named Defender of the Year, and Jackson County Boys Soccer Player of the Year.

The boys may have not finished undefeated, but finishing third in the conference is its own achievement.
