Finally, moviegoers can stay in Jackson County and forgo the trip to Columbus. After being shut down post-COVID, The Great Escape has re-opened to let the people of Seymour have their theater back. Showplace Seymour is now part of the Showplace Cinemas franchise. Tickets are well-priced with matinees @ $6 adult/$4.25 children/$4.75 seniors and evenings @ $7.50 adult/$5.50 children/$6 seniors. The usual movie comfort foods are offered: popcorn, drinks, candy, etc. However, plans to upgrade the seating to new recliners will happen in the spring. Whether you attend solo, on a date, or with friends/family, please support our local movies and catch the newest release @ 357 Tanger Boulevard, Seymour, IN.

I am Landon Jones. I like to learn about new ideas and question how they work. I joined the newspaper to do so, and I want to get to know my community and the people who live in it. I will be working on features for The Owl.
