The U.S. Marines

Matty Kegeris, Staff Writer

The marines have been around since 1775 and yet they still seem to keep growing. The marines have given so many people so many opportunities and they can give you some also.
There is a recruiter in Columbus if you would like to join.
His name is Stephen Lake and he just so happens to be my recruiter! He’ll meet with you and you’re parents somewhere to talk to you about all the things the marines has to offer.
Many jobs that would take years in college to get to, wouldn’t even need any college time! So if college isn’t for you, you’re good to go!
If you do want to go to college, don’t even worry about student loans! It’s payed for!
Seriously though, the marines do offer wonderful things but you also need to realize the dangers that come along with the title of this.
War.
War could come any time and you could get sent off. It’s scary. Don’t just join the marines for college money or anything like that. Yes, it is a bonus, but you also need to be prepared for what could happen.
Next time you think about your future, think about the marines or any other branch of the military, think about if you’re strong enough to handle it.
Then do it.
