Following the 2018-2019 high school basketball season in which the Owls finished with a record of 3-20 and finished the season on a 13-game losing streak, Seymour High School Athletic Director Kirk Manns has announced there will not be a team for next year. After a conference with the IHSAA and all of Seymour’s administrators on Sunday night, they came to the final decision to discontinue the boys basketball program. The world’s largest high school gym will now be only used for girls basketball.

An IHSAA official told the Owl‘, “It’s unfortunate the Seymour Owls had to lose their basketball program, but we hope they have a wonderful April Fools Day.”
