NCAA uncancels March Madness

Casey Regruth, Staff Writer

As a result of COVID-19, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced on March 12, 2020 that it would be cancelling the Division 1 Men’s Basketball Tournament, also known as March Madness.

March Madness is incredibly popular among basketball fans, so this decision broke many hearts all across the country.

After roughly 3 weeks, the NCAA has had a change of heart. It has released a statement saying, “money is too important to the organization, so the show must go on.” This news was met with uncertainty between fans and players alike. Is money really worth putting innocent people in harm’s way?
