The BEST Holiday Snickerdoodles!

What you will need:

  • 1 and ½ tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 and ½ tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 3 and ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 large eggs 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 and ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup salted butter
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar

 

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  • In large bowl, beat 1 cup butter until smooth
  • Add your cups of white sugar and ⅓ cup brown sugar into the butter. Beat for 2 minutes until light and fluffy
  • Add your 2 eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Beat long enough to combine thoroughly
  • Add flour into the bowl (DO NOT MIX YET)
  • Use a small spoon to mix 1 teaspoon baking soda, ¾ teaspoon kosher salt, and 1 and ½ teaspoons cream of tartar ALL INTO THE FLOUR.
  • Gently beat the powder mixture into your original mix
  • Use a cookie scoop to gather dough balls to place onto your cookie sheet (Balls should be about ½-2 inches in diameter)
  • Add ⅓ cup sugar and 1 and ½ teaspoons to another bowl. Roll the dough balls in the cinnamon sugar mix, coating them gently
  • Place dough balls back on the cookie sheet. 
  • Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for about 9-11 minutes.. DO NOT OVER BAKE.
  • Once the timer is up, take them out and allow them to cool. Sprinkle on some more cinnamon sugar and enjoy!
