United Airlines experienced quite the crazy incident on what would typically be a usual Monday.

Francisco Severo Torres, a 33 year old man from Massachusetts, allegedly tried to escape out of the plane’s emergency exit. Following the attempted escape, the man then used a broken metal spoon in attempts to stab a female flight attendant. He dug the weapon into her neck 3 times. Torres now faces one charge of interference and attempted interference with flight crew members and attendants, whilst wielding a dangerous weapon, that being- a spoon. Torres was arrested at Boston Logan International Airport on Monday, and will remain detained pending a hearing set for Thursday.

United Airlines spoke, saying, “Thanks to the quick action of our crew and customers, one customer was restrained after becoming a security concern on United flight 2609 from Los Angeles to Boston.”
