24 time Grammy award winner and world-renowned rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West) has had the attention of the masses. Releasing 10 studio albums and multiple collaborations over that time he has solidified himself as the face of rap.  This is a comprehensive timeline of the events that have defined his life and career in the last two decades. 

2003– Kanye West performs his unreleased song “Gold Digger” months before his first album is released with a young John Legend on keyboard.

2006–  In a controversial move, Kanye poses as Jesus in a crown of thorns for a Rolling Stones cover to saying the media “crucified” him like they did Christ

2007– Donda West, Ye’s mother, passes away just two months after his third album Graduation is released
