Christmas Interview

Maria Ruiz, Staff Writer

Christmas is a wonderful holiday many people enjoy. Family gets together to have a big or small with gifts for each other, but what matters is that we are all together and we remember this special holiday. I interviewed my mother about her views on Christmas and the winter season.

What do you like about the Christmas season? “I like the beauty of the lights and decorations. I enjoy buying special gifts, baking cookies and preparing traditional foods of the season.” said Dana Ruiz.

What year do you think had the most snow? “I’m not really sure what year had the most snow but last winter it got pretty deep.”

What do you think about this year’s upcoming Christmas? Dana said, “I’m anticipating that it’s going to be a great time with our family. I’m very excited and looking forward to giving the gifts I have for the people I love.”

What is your favorite Christmas, what made it so special? “I don’t remember any one Christmas specifically but I would have to say that the Christmas’s when my children were very young. Seeing the magic and sparkle in their eyes on Christmas morning, you know, after Santa had made his arrival were the absolute best memories.”

What was your favorite Christmas gift? “Santa had made his arrival were the absolute best memories. My best gift I remember getting was my baby Chrissy doll Santa brought me. I think I was 7 years old when I got the doll I had my heart set on.” said Dana Ruiz.
