Quickly approaching 2024 the writers and actors strike has concluded, and as a result, we get a wide range of films. These films seem to have a high level of potential, but some are more hyped than others. Here are some films set to come out in 2024:
- January: Mean Girls
Mean Girls will be starring Angourie Rice
Plot of Mean Girls: Cady Heron moves to a new high school where she gets involved with the group of popular mean girls aka “The Plastics.” Cady ends up having feelings for the leader of the group’s ex-boyfriend, which causes problems for Cady.
- February: Argyle and Madame Web
Argyle will be starring Henry Cavill
Madame Web will be starring Sydney Sweeney and Dakota Johnson
Plot of Argyle: An introverted spy novelist named Elly Conway is drawn to the real world of spy work when she gets a little to close to an undercover syndicate. A spy named Adin shows up to save her from being kidnapped or killed (or so he says). Elly ends up in a converted world where nothing is as it seems.
Plot of Madame Web: Madame Web tells the story of one of Marvel’s heroines. Cassandra Web, a paramedic who might have supernatural abilities, is forced to confront relations about her past.
- March: Dune: Part Two and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
Dune: Part Two will be starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will be starring Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon
Plot of Dune: Part Two: Paul Atreides is on a path to revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.
Plot of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire: The Spengler family returns to the New York firehouse where it all started to team up with the original Ghostbusters. When an ancient artifact unleashes evil, the old, and new Ghostbusters team up to fight it.
- April: Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be starring Dan Stevens and Rebecca Hall.
Plot of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire: This movie puts Kong and Godzilla against a deadly threat in our world that threatens our existence, and theirs.
- May: Deadpool 3
Deadpool 3 will be starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
Plot of Deadpool 3: Wolverine joins Deadpool in this new movie.
- June: Inside Out 2 and A Quiet Place: Day One
Inside Out 2 will be starring Amy Poehler and Lewis Black.
A Quiet Place: Day One will be starring Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn.
Plot of Inside Out 2: Riley is now a teenager and is dealing with new emotions.

- July: Despicable Me 4 and Mufasa: The Lion King
Despicable Me 4 will be starring Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig.
