Seymour Varsity Lady Owls falls to Floyd Central

Seymour Varsity Lady Owls lost to Floyd Central 5-3 on Tuesday, April 28. It hasn’t been this close of a game since the 2020-21 season.

The Lady Owls got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning after Taylor Stuckwisch hit a two-run home run. The Owls fought hard all the way through; whenever they made mistakes, they always had the mindset of “next play.”

Leading the Lady Owls were Taylor Stuckwisch and Mackenzie Bryson with a fielding percentage of 1.000. On May 3rd, the Owls had their sectional draw where they drew New Albany, the second game they drew Bedford North Lawrence, and in the championship game they drew Floyd Central.

The Lady Owls are ready to compete and win Sectionals! The Owls haven’t won a sectional since 2005. Come support the Lady Owls for their first sectional game on May 25th in Jeffersonville @ 12:00.
