College Basketball is finally back, and the people are ready. It’s been over 215 days since the last CBB game when UConn defeated San Diego State in the National Championship.
This has been one of the most anticipated CBB seasons in history. With no cut-out favorite to win the Championship, every fan thinks that their team can win the title. This season has a lot of different stories, including a 7-foot-4 monster from Purdue trying to repeat as POTY, a huge recruiting class out of Kentucky including three of the top six recruits, and Lebron James’s son playing at USC with the #1 recruit.
National Championship: I think that the Purdue Boilermakers will win the National Championship. I might be a little biased, but this Purdue team has a lot of surrounding talent to go along with their 7-foot-4 center Zach Edey.
Player of The Year- Zach Edey
To go along with Purdue winning the National Championship, I think Zach Edey will win the POTY. He will be the first player to sweep the CBB awards in back-to-back years since Ralph Sampson in the early 80’s.
Freshman of The Year- Isaiah Collier
Isaiah Collier is the #1 recruit in CBB, and as the #1 recruit, you have a lot of expectations from the people. He’s the #1 recruit for a reason, because he’s one of the most talented players in the country. I think he will win the Freshman of The Year and be a top 10 pick in the NBA.
This season is going to be great, with many different expectations for every team and player. The games start November 6th with teams like Purdue and Uconn tipping off the action. This season should be great.
