Ten wins and four losses. This is the current record for the SHS Freshmen Boys’ basketball team. Losing only to Whiteland, Columbus East, Columbus North, and Brownstown, the freshmen basketball boys have been great this season. They have proven they can play well together and put up a competition every night.

Under the new leadership of a seasoned, California native coach, Dwayne Williams, the team is learning to play an aggressive style of basketball. They started out the season with a great record going undefeated, but then before Winter Break lost a close game at Whiteland that ended that winning streak. They have people on the team who can play really well at their positions that Coach Williams assigns them. And their reserves play well, too. They are one of those teams where you do not just rely on one player to do everything. Everyone plays an important role in the games every night. Come out to support the freshmen boys at their next home game Friday, an HHC Conference contest against Floyd Central.

Team members are as follows: Aden Burnside, Will Cottrill, Zac DuBois, Sam Friend, Andrew Levine, Koleton Lynch, Luke Reasoner, Casey Regruth, Jacob Sawyer, and Donovyn Thomas
