Exito Latino es un viaje a Columbus, Indiana en el Centro de Aprendizaje. Este evento fue solamente organizado para estudiantes latinos.

Para la escuela preparatoria de Seymour es la primera vez que el proyecto de Éxito Latino es realizado. Este proyecto fue con el propósito de dar a los estudiantes latinos una idea sobre las universidades a las que pueden asistir y mostrarles diversas carreras. Habían diversas carreras para los estudiantes como enfermería, ley, etc. Esto es para que los estudiantes aprendan más sobre oportunidades que encontrarán posteriormente y cómo prepararse para ello.

De acuerdo con Sra. De Gante. “El propósito de Exito Latino es ayudar a nuestros estudiantes de la escuela preparatoria a encontrar diferentes opciones para ir a la universidad y que continúen con sus estudios. Este projecto da información a los estudiantes latinos a obtener diferentes recursos,  diferentes formas de explorar carreras y también diferentes maneras de cómo ellos pueden ir a la universidad siendo latinos.”

De acuerdo con Brendy Bello. “Yo quiero estudiar justicia penal. En Exito Latino obtuve mucha información sobre lo relacionado a justicia penal y aprendí cuales son los , requisitos educativos los cuales incluyen tener un título de cuatro años de una universidad acreditada. También este proyecto me dio una idea sobre qué universidad puedo elegir. En Exito Latino consegui informacion y también me divertí.”

Exito Latino fue un proyecto interesante, se habló de muchas carreras de muchas oportunidades, incluso se habló del tema de DACA. Hubo comida, música, baile, y se convivio con otras escuelas diferentes . Este proyecto fue muy productivo para los estudiantes para que puedan tener una idea de una carrera y para que sepan que no están solos y que hay muchas personas fuera que quieren ayudarlos y verlos salir adelante.

Exito Latino is a trip in Columbus, Indiana at The Learning Center only for Latino students.

This is the first time students at Seymour High School have participated in Exito Latino. This project’s purpose is to give Latino students an idea about what their going to do in college and show them many different types of careers. Different careers were presented for students like nursing, law, etc. This experience allowed students to learn more about opportunities that lie ahead and how to prepare for them.

According to Ms. Ana DeGante, “The purpose of Exito Latino is to help our students in high school to find different options for going to college and continuing with their studies. This project gives Latino students information on different ways to explore careers and also different ways they can go to college by being Latino.”

Junior Brendy Bello attended the trip. She said, “I choose the career of criminal justice. At Exito Latino I got a lot of information about criminal justice and learned of educational requirements including having a four year bachelor degree from an accredited university or college. This project gave me an idea about what college I can choose. In Exito Latino I got information, and I also had fun. “

Exito Latino was an interesting project. There was talk of many careers and opportunities. Information on DACA was also given. There was food, music, dancing, and coexistence with two different schools. This project was very productive for the students. It gave them an idea of ​​a career or college options. Also, it let students know that they are not alone, and that there are many people who want to help to see students succeed.
