3rd Nine Weeks: A Reflection

3rd Nine Weeks: A Reflection

Kayla Moriarty, Staff Writer

Going into this year, I wanted to bring more variety into my writing and delve into other topics that interested me. This is my third and final year writing for The Owl, as I am a senior, and having an outlet to write about my interests has been incredibly beneficial to exploring what I want to pursue after high school.

I have definitely written about a wider array of topics this year, and I plan to continue doing so. The arts, environmental news, literary news, and more have piqued my interest, and I have more articles planned involving those subjects. For the next nine weeks, I plan to push out more articles and interactive forms, surveys, and polls. I look forward to writing more articles about the arts, some book reviews, and possibly even some music/album reviews. I also plan to do more with photography, and maybe even starting a series of posts where I photograph abandoned places in Indiana.

I did some book reviews a while back, and I really enjoyed the process of writing those and sharing my thoughts. I hope to do more book reviews, mainly staying in the mystery and thriller genres.

I am looking forward to sharing the newer ideas I have for articles and projects, and I can’t wait to broaden my horizons even more.
