Wrestler places at Indy Nationals

On Sunday, February 22, four wrestlers went to the Indy Nationals Tournament, and only Alex Hammond, a freshman, placed on the podium. Alex Hammond placed 7th by a 9-3 decision in the 128.4-140 lbs bracket after a long and difficult day. Being a freshman, this is an impressive feat and is only the start to a hopefully impressive high school wrestling career.

On Saturday and Sunday, February 28th and March 1st, Alex Hammond, Chase Koznarsky, and Linkin Royalty will wrestle at Fresh-Soph State in Indianapolis. This will be the final tournament of this wrestling season.

I’m Chase Koznarsky, a sophomore at SHS. This is my first year on The Owl, and I hope to learn from my new experience on the newspaper staff. This will be my 4th year on the wrestling team, and I enjoy swimming and hanging out with my friends in my free time.
